Competing in our Low-Cost Manufacturing World

Technology, off-shore sourcing, and a world economy that is increasingly seamless presents opportunities as well as significant challenges for today's businesses.  Clear Intent's research and collaboration with partners has identified a set of strategies and successful practices to help companies avoid losing business to offshore competition, including niche development, risk and cost reduction, specialized product or process capabilities, and optimization of proximity advantages.  Keynote and half-day workshops.

Growing Your International Business

This one and a half hour key note session is based on compelling new research on the strategic choices of successful exporters. While there are excellent resources already available on export operational issues, this seminar is uniquely focused on strategic issues and leadership challenges, such as:
 — The commitment and mindset necessary to achieve rapid international growth.
 — Best practices employed by successful exporters in such areas as planning, management and partner selection.
 — The strategic advantages that drive export success.
Bottom line:  Global markets are becoming both attractive and critical to a company's future.  Accelerating growth in international markets changes the growth pattern for successful companies.  Keynote and half-day workshops for CEOs.

Dare to Make a Difference

This keynote address focuses the audience on the world of possibilities that exist in our companies, our families, and our communities.  Geared as a celebration of accomplishment for managers and leaders who are going out to make a difference, this inspiring 45 to 60 minute session leaves participants charged up and ready to make a difference - in ways they'd never thought possible.  Keynote.

Foundations of Leadership©:
Business Coaching Fundamentals

In this multi-dimensional workshop, learn, integrate and practice the behaviors and skill of a coach-approach for producing results.  This process is designed to teach and connect leaders to the core communications skills of effective leadership — skills that enable others to produce results in alignment with organizational goals.  Participants learn, practice and integrate the behaviors and skills of a coach-approach for producing results.  Learn a four-step methodology to discover truths, take action, and advance leadership skills.  This is an opportunity to hone and master skills in real-life situations.  One- and two-day workshops.

Be a Better Board

Fiduciary and advisory boards, alike, have duties, roles and responsibilities… and yet how often are boards and board members trained in what they are obligated to do?  Using a variety of tools, including board assessments, working sessions and lecture format, boards and executives learn their duties and roles, focus on executing them on behalf of the organization, and walk away with an agenda for board development, effectiveness, and continuing education.  Half- and full-day workshops for boards of directors.

You Know, It's Different in this Family Business

Family-run businesses are the back-bone of the US economy... and they operate differently!  When we work in family-run businesses, we sometimes find ourselves coaching the whole family!  In this interactive session we get down to brass tacks to explore topics such as how family businesses are different than other closely-held businesses, and skill building to work with executive family members.  Meant for coaches and consultants, this session is aimed at taking skills that work in other venues and applying them to working with family businesses.  To round out the session, participants practice using their skills in a meaningful, ready-to-apply-in-the-real-world way.  Keynote and half- and full-day workshops.

Mastering the Front of the Room

This two-day workshop course is designed for the experienced presenter/facilitator/trainer who is looking to develop stronger "in front of the room" skills, create an energy in the room, and improve presence.  This material is aligned with the style of teaching and imparting knowledge to adults through experiential learning.  This session provides modeling and proven techniques and skills that can make you a more engaging speaker/presenter, and shift your energy in the room.  Includes practice, videotaping before/after, and expert feedback.  Can be followed on with one-on-one coaching.  Two and a half- to three- days workshop.

Unleash the Power of Groups - For Coaches

In this fast-paced working session, We Create.  Participants take their own model of coaching for individuals and, in the moment, create their own parallel process to unleash the power of groups.  This hands-on session results in an immediate new service for each participant's business - built upon their own coaching framework, and their own process and skills.  Then, We Try it On.  Participants will learn to see what is going on when facilitating in a group process, with the same clarity as they see what is going on when coaching in an individual session.  Finally, We Put it All Together.  With the energy of the room, participants will practice using their new group skills - so when they go home, they can use immediately with their clients.  If you are a coach - here is your opportunity to leverage the excellent coaching skills into new services that generate impact and revenue.  Open your possibilities of formally using coaching skills in other venues.  Half- and full-day workshops.

I'm OK, You're OK:  We're Just Wired This Way!

Look, we are all wired differently.  We each take in information and process it in our own unique fashion.  Intended for leaders, managers, coaches and consultants, this session helps participants discover their own ways of thinking and processing, and gives clues to discover others' ways of thinking and processing.  Topics include global/analytical thinkers, matching/contrasting processors, past/present/future orientation, and more NLP tools.  The session culminates with a workshop where participants practice keeping the conversation going, amidst all of the various thinking processes going on!  Keynote, and half- and full-day workshops.

Why Don't They Get What I Am Saying?©:
On Improving Communication

What seems so simple and straightforward, especially in a business setting, is often anything but.  It has become cliché to say that poor communication is at the root of most organizational dysfunction.  This fast-paced workshop with its ready-to-apply toolset results in better understanding, more efficient work operations and improved organizational output.  Participants determine their own communication styles and thinking patterns, learn how to ascertain others' styles, and quickly apply new techniques.  Concepts include brain dominance, gender differences in communication, and action-oriented communication techniques.  Half-day workshops for all audiences.

STOP - Look at the Big Picture!
A systems-thinking, holistic approach to optimizing your organization

Without looking at your business and its issues in a systematic, big picture way, you could waste resources that would have gone directly to your bottom line.  Every firm should look holistically at making decisions, creating change, and just plain leading and managing on a day-by-day basis.  Plenty of books are available on this topic, but this workshop teaches a model that brings it all together for the busy CEO in a highly interactive and immediately implementable way.  Half- or full-day workshops intended for leaders, managers, and change agents.

Transformation Management

Transformation - to change from one state of being to another.  A big, big project in a company.  And yet, how does one go about causing large scale positive change in an organization?  This intense week-long workshop enables internal and external change agents and consultants to learn and practice coaching skills needed to cause their clients (company leaders) to discover answers and take action for their business and for themselves.  We then explore the concepts, techniques, and methods for transforming an organization using the Transformation Model and its accompanying toolkit.  Delivered using an experiential, case-study-based approach, key content includes a four-step coaching methodology, enterprise assessment, strategic thinking and planning, transformation action planning, managing implementation, measuring performance and using resistance in change management.  Specifically, participants will learn and apply the behavior, skills and model for effective consultative coaching; integrate their experience, skills, and training into the transformation approach; practice and demonstrate their new skills.  Week-long workshop.
